The Financial Compliance Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for:
Developing and executing the annual global SOX testing plan, which include developing scope, testing procedures, calendar and project management.
Identifying and communicating deficiencies and participating in remediation efforts by recommending process improvements.
Performing other global compliance activities, including subsidiaries financial review, internal and external audit coordination and issues remediation.
This position is part of the Finance and Accounting department and will be located in Brea California. The vision of Finance and Accounting is to provide financial accounting, reporting, analytical and decision support to management.
You will be a part of the Financial Compliance team and report to the Senior Accounting Manager, Global Reporting and Compliance responsible for leading the global Sarbanes Oxley program, and playing a significant role in all other global accounting and compliance activities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Interact and collaborate with management and internal customers, and present and explain analysis to both finance and non-finance audiences.
Supervise and train financial compliance analysts and other finance associates assigned to SOX and financial reviews.
Interface with external and internal auditors to facilitate completion of audit procedures in a timely and efficient manner.
Perform technical accounting researches and participate in global policies deployment.
Identifies, recommends and actively participates in business process improvement opportunities.
The essential requirements of the job include:
BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance required with 9+ years of experience or a Masters with 7+ years of experience.
Public accounting experience from Big4 or mid-tier firm
Project management experience
Ability to travel up to 10% including internationally
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
