The anticipated salary range for this role is between $190,000.00 and $227,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

JOB SUMMARY:

SMBC Manubank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Director to join our dynamic IT team. As an Infrastructure Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's infrastructure and network systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our corporate infrastructure and network platforms.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Infrastructure Management:

  • Design, implement, and manage the organization's infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, firewalls, storage, and virtualization.

  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of all infrastructure components.

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure policies, procedures, and documentation.

  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.

  • Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades and capacity expansions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business requirements.

Cloud Management:

  • Manage the organization's cloud infrastructure and services, including public and private cloud platforms.

  • Manage migration of workloads from the Internal datacenter to the public cloud.

  • Monitor cloud resource usage and costs and implement strategies for optimization.

  • Implement and maintain cloud security measures and compliance standards.

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services into applications and workflows.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead a team of infrastructure and network engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.

  • Set clear goals and expectations for the team and monitor their performance.

  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth.

  • Coordinate with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and project delivery.

  • Vendor/Managed Services Management:

  • Evaluate and select infrastructure and network service providers.

  • Manage managed service provider relationships and contracts, ensuring service level agreements are met.

  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues and implement new solutions.

Strategy:

  • Develop and communicate a clear infrastructure vision aligned with the organization’s overall IT strategy.

  • Build roadmaps for the different areas within the IT infrastructure domain.

  • Stay ahead of IT trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Infrastructure Engineering and Operations.

  • Work closely with parent organization to build a target operating model for the shared infrastructure domain.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in infrastructure management, including server administration, networking, and virtualization.

  • At least 5 years of experience in managing Enterprise network environments (Wired, Wireless, SDWAN etc.)

  • Extensive experience (3+ years) in managing cloud platforms, such as Azure, and/or Google Cloud.

  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role is required.

  • Financial industry experience is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization.

  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure and services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.

  • Familiarity with infrastructure security best practices and compliance standards.

  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools, such as Terraform or Kubernetes.

  • Solid understanding of network protocols, security, and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies.

Leadership and Communication:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a technical team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive and analytical mindset.

Certifications (preferred):

  • Relevant industry certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, Google etc.)

  • ITIL Foundation or other IT service management certifications.
