Meta Designer, Company and Executive Communications in Los Angeles, California

Summary:

Meta is searching for a designer to its Company and Executive comms team. This person will be responsible for design across a variety of materials to support a C-level executive. The ideal candidate is someone who can work proactively and autonomously to concept, design and deliver work with a high attention to detail and under time constraints. This person will work across many projects at once, exploring what's possible alongside the team, put concepts forward, and can quickly iterate based on feedback. They are able to deliver work that can convey complex technical concepts as well as simple, consumer-focused ideas. This person must be comfortable with a fluid schedule, working across multiple projects at once, and can partner with a cross-functional team of creatives, communications, content professionals, production partners, and various key stakeholders across Meta. This person will work alongside the product communications team that is responsible for our Family of Apps, AI, and Reality Labs division. They are adept at quickly understanding advanced concepts and can help a team translate them into compelling visuals that tell a story and show what’s possible today and in the future.A passion for social products and technologies, a firm grasp of the latest ways people are using online platforms, key cultural trends, and the ability to move fast in fluid situations are key for this role. This individual must excel at working collaboratively, and consistently deliver high-quality work even under severe time constraints and ambiguity.

Required Skills:

Designer, Company and Executive Communications Responsibilities:

  1. Work with a core team to plan, brainstorm, pitch and produce creative assets for social channels, presentations and other formats for a C-level exec

  2. Problem solve in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with executives, creatives, speechwriters, communication managers and product marketing managers

  3. Approach work with an openness to what's possible, bring others along in your process to invite feedback, and iterate to get to the strongest final result

  4. Work cross-functionally with other teams and stakeholders for ongoing announcements, social activations and large company events like Connect

  5. Creative direct projects and delegate to other teams and creatives when needed

  6. Manage project communications and workflows

  7. Stay current on design and social trends to inform creative concepts and decisions

  8. Develop creative/design solutions for complex technical topics - making them more appealing and understandable to a broader audience while maintaining integrity of the technology

  9. Work across multiple creative projects that span different topics at any given time

  10. Accommodate feedback from different stakeholders and iterate accordingly

  11. Facilitate good team dynamics and be willing to help / partner with other designers and creatives when projects require it

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Undergraduate or MFA degree in design or a related field

  2. Experience designing in Figma

  3. Experience in designing presentations in Keynote, PowerPoint and Google Slides

  4. Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)

  5. Experience working with motion designers, preparing files for animation and video editing

  6. Experience designing for social

  7. Interested in and excited by the challenge of visualizing cutting edge products and experiences of which there is often little precedent

  8. Experience presenting and explaining your work to high level executives

  1. 7+ years of experience in visual communications

  2. 3+ years of experience working on large-scale events and productions

  3. Experience in product design

  4. Proficiency in Premiere and After Effects

Public Compensation:

$114,000/year to $167,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
