UCLA Health Clinic Manager - Bowyer Oncology & Treatment Center in Los Angeles, California

Description

Under the direct supervision of the Bowyer Clinic Director, and with input from the Medical Director as needed, the Practice Manager is responsible for facilitating and supervising the daily operations in the Bowyer Clinic. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, functioning as a resource, role model, supervisor for the Bowyer Clinic staff. The Practice Manager also works with the management team to implement clinic goals and objectives, recruit and orient new staff, provide input during the budgetary process, finalize daily and long term staffing decisions, and provide management level support to the clinic.

Salary Range: $60,800.00-$134,200.00/annuallyQualifications

Required:

  • At least one year of direct supervisory experience

  • Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations and procedures to define objectives, identify pattern and formulate conclusions

  • Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities

  • Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with Faculty, Residents, Medical Students and staff from various social, cultural and economic backgrounds

  • Skill in verbal communications to clearly convey complex problems and proposals in both formal and informal situations

  • Ability to creatively integrate competing demands of a multi-specialty setting into a productive working environment

  • Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with a patient population in varying degrees of health

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in planning, preparing, analyzing and completing revenue and expenses budgets

  • Working knowledge of research-oriented patient care systems

  • Previous demonstrated expertise in managing patient services and staffing in a busy, complex outpatient

  • Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with a patient population in varying degrees of health
