VCA Animal Hospitals Client Service Representative in Los Angeles, California

VCA Animal Specialty Group is seeking Veterinary Client Service Representatives (CSR) that are interested in emergency and specialty experience.

We are looking for a highly caring, compassionate, and empathetic candidates to provide top quality customer service for our amazing pet parents and their fur babies. Candidates must be able to handle high pressure situations respectfully and professionally, they must be able to stay composed even during stressful times.

* One year of veterinary or medical customer service experience required *

Below are just some of the skills one must be proficient in for this position.

  • Communicate with clients while remaining polite, kind and respectful.

  • Greet, check-in and check out clients, send and receive high volume of phone calls, present estimates, etc.

  • Ensure clients are having an overall excellent experience by being attentive and hospitable, i.e. offering a beverage.

  • Schedule and confirm upcoming appointments for the specialty departments.

  • Respond quickly and efficiently to highly urgent emergency triages and STAT calls.

  • Process payment transactions, i.e. credit card, text-to-pay, Scratch Pay, Care Credit, etc.

  • Obtain records from referring RDVMs

  • Send and receive emails, Teams messages and phone calls

  • Ensure the lobby, exam rooms and client restrooms are clean and presentable at all times.

  • Manage medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.

  • Process online documents and paperwork for aftercare.

  • Maintain professionalism at all times with clients, doctors and staff.

  • Complete the all aspects of the daily duties with care and accuracy.
