    Position description

The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System is seeking a candidate for a Project Scientist position at the Assistant rank to be based at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.

The candidate will work in collaboration with the P.I., Dr. Tzung Hsiai. Working knowledge of medical and optical instrumentation is required. The designing and performing of experiments is expected as well as presenting the results in publications and at meetings.

A Ph.D. in Molecular Biology is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment are expected. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications

A Ph.D. in Molecular Bioengineering or a closely related field is required.

Additional qualifications

Prior background in bioengineering is expected.

Preferred qualifications

Working knowledge of medical and optical instrumentation.
