Job Description
The Airside Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and completion of airside construction projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, and aircraft support facilities. This position requires extensive experience managing complex aviation infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with FAA, airport, and state/local regulations.
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction teams, managing project budgets and schedules, coordinating with airport operations, and implementing risk mitigation strategies. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars (AC 150/5370-10), Part 139 regulations, and airfield pavement standards.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all phases of airfield construction projects, ensuring alignment with FAA and airport standards.
Coordinate with airport operations personnel, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate safe and efficient project execution.
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to airport operations.
Ensure compliance with FAA Part 139 safety standards and AC 150/5370-10 specifications.
Conduct site inspections and progress evaluations, resolving construction-related challenges.
SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in airside project management.
Bachelor’s degree in Architectural, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Experience with FAA Advisory Circulars, P-401 Asphalt, and P-501 Concrete specifications.
Additional Information
The salary range for this full-time role is $140K-$225k per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
