UCLA Health Administrative Nurse II - Westwood Main OR in Los Angeles, California

Description

The AN II is responsible for assisting with clinical management and administrative coordination of the nursing unit. The position is a combination of clinical (direct care) and administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications

Required:

CPR, Current CA RN license, BSN, 3 years of acute care experience

  • If the Baccalaureate degree is not in Nursing, Master's in Nursing is required*

  • Meets CN III JD/PE

  • Career position, 90% minimum

o Develops rapport with patients and patients families

o Able to recognize (or bring attention to) peers' accomplishments

  • Developing People Abilities

o Maintains positive attitude towards unit and work, helping to build unit's positive reputation

o Consistently models right behaviors

o Skills in coaching and assisting staff in:

  • developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progress

  • implementing interventions that are pertinent to goals established in the plan of care

  • evaluating the effective of interventions toward the attainment of established goals and

  • recognizing the need to reassess or reset goal parameter
