Description
A healthcare company is searching for a skilled Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk with advanced Microsoft Excel expertise to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate and efficient financial records, and we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running with precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately process accounts payable invoices while ensuring proper coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies.
Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and communicate effectively with vendors regarding billing inquiries.
Prepare and process electronic payments (ACH, wire transfers) and checks promptly while maintaining proper documentation.
Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze AP data, create reports, and conduct account reconciliations, including using formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs.
Assist with month-end closing by ensuring all AP transactions and accruals are recorded accurately.
Maintain and organize AP files, ensuring proper documentation of records for audit purposes.
Collaborate with team members and department managers to address payment inquiries and improve processes as needed.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
Microsoft Excel: Advanced proficiency, including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, conditional formatting, and other advanced functionalities.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and meticulous attention to detail.
Communication Skills: Professional written and verbal communication skills for vendor and internal departments.
Technology-Savvy: Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar).
