JPMorgan Chase 2024 Project Mosaic Summer Cohort - Transactions Specialist II - Emerging Talent Program in Los Angeles, California

The Project Mosaic Program offers a five month paid, part-time internship held in select JPMorgan Chase branches. Project Mosaic is designed to attract candidates who are interested in early exposure to financial services careers and committed to the advancement of individuals from underrepresented groups in this industry. As a Transactions Specialist II in JPMorgan Chase, you will process daily document transactions and perform the extraction of checks and remittances. Each function may have multiple tasks per transaction. These transactions require judgment and experience with limited direct supervision. While receiving clear instruction, you must maintain the highest level of production and accuracy daily and focus on process effectiveness with an emphasis on high quality service and productivity. This position may require you to work non-traditional hours and/or additional hours as business needs arise.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operates Imaging/Extraction Equipment (iTRAN, IBML, OPEX 7200, OPEX 150).

  • Prepares batches of work by extracting checks and remittances from envelopes.

  • Inputs data into the system while following standard operating procedures and customer specific instructions for processing.

  • Negotiates checks through customer specific instructions for processing.

  • Re-associates check images to corresponding material while validating quality of images.

  • Balances/reconciles electronic and paper documentation.

  • Analyzes information to determine accuracy and completeness of work.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required

  • Participants must be 18 years or older

  • Ability to analyze and comprehend client's standard operating procedures and instructions

  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications

  • Intermediate Qwerty keyboard usage and basic 10-key data entry

  • Production environments focus on meeting deadlines and quotas

  • Attention to detail with accuracy and good eye-hand coordination

  • Strong ability to complete multiple manual tasks per transaction with precision

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Remittance Processing or banking operations experience preferred

If currently enrolled in college, we will only be accepting Juniors and Seniors.

Work Schedule

  • Tuesday - Saturday

  • 40 hours per week

  • 1 st shift: 6:00AM - 2:30PM / 2 nd shift: 2:00PM - 10:30PM

This position may require you to work non-traditional hours and/or additional hours as business needs arise. Work schedule might be subject to change.
