What You Will Do
A post-doctoral position is available in the area of molecular simulation. Research areas include molecular dynamics simulations, high performance computing, and structural biology. The focus of the research will be on DNA, chromatin and chromosomes with applications to epigenetics and viral infection. We are especially interested in candidates with a background in coarse-grained modeling. The position starts immediately and is 2 years (with possible 3rd year extension) with competitive starting salary plus benefits.

Expertise in molecular simulation
Expertise in biophysics
Experience in code development
Experience in high performance computing
Excellent communication and writing skills
Education/Experience : A Ph.D. in computer science, physics, theoretical chemistry or biophysics. The candidate must have completed all Ph.D. requirements by commencement of the appointment and must be within five years of completion of the Ph.D. Candidates may also have previous experience including postdoctoral experience.
Expertise in coarse-grained modeling
Expertise in structural biology of chromatin
Expertise in epigenetics and chromosome biology
Experience in writing python code from scratch
A strong publishing record
