OUR CLIENT IS SEEKING AN EHS PROFESSIONAL WHO WILL BE WHO WILL BE MANAGING AND EVALUATING SAFETY MEASURES FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL COLLECTIONS TEAM!

$56-$58 PER HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Description:

EHS Professional will be responsible for ensuring adherence to the Client’s safety program, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices within Environmental Remediation/Investigation sites. Primary focus will be the management and evaluation of safety measures, emphasizing training, oversight, and continuous improvement to ensure risk mitigation during on-site activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Oversight and Management:

• Offer safety management guidance across environmental sample collection teams.

• Assess specific project exposures and risks, ensuring the sustained efficacy of safety programs.

• Monitor compliance with both Client and the company's safety procedures and standards.

• Cease work and take immediate actions, as necessary, to remove personnel from hazardous areas if the safety or health of site personnel, or third parties is jeopardized by work activities.

• Ensure compliance with emergency response plans (including evacuation alarms, accountability rosters, and assembly points).

Audits and Inspections:

• Undertake regular site audits examining for potential hazards from behaviors and site conditions.

• Continuously evaluate the site for any hazards not previously identified or adequately controlled, initiate measures required to protect personnel, the public and the environment, and revise documents accordingly.

• Inspect personal protective and other safety equipment for compliance and effectiveness.

• Perform specialized checks, such as excavations, confined space, critical lift programs.

• Conduct and document ES&H inspections.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Document and report diverse safety activities, including trainings, audits, incident reports, non-compliance findings, and permits.

• Use the project database for consistent report tracking.

Engagement and Collaboration:

• Participate in safety and pre-job briefings.

• Attend progress meetings.

• Represent the company in incident investigations and/or critiques.

• Lead and participate in job-related meetings with various stakeholders, including subcontractors and Client staff.

• Recommend and advise on measures to meet the safety standards.

Program Development:

• Spearhead, audit, and enhance tracking systems for multiple safety programs, whether project specific or industry benchmarks.

Additional Duties:

• Stay flexible to undertake additional responsibilities as the project evolves or as required.
