Noblis Military Operations Support Specialist in Lorton, Virginia


Government Client Mission Program Summary:

The Department of Defense’s (DoD) works cooperatively with allies and partners to reduce or eliminate weapons of mass destruction (WMD) threats. The cooperative nature of the DoD’s activities yields a secondary benefit of strengthening regional alliances, deepening existing partnerships, and attracting new partners.

Noblis is looking to hire Military Operations Suppot Specialist to support the mission in cooperation with partner nations. Responsibilities for the position may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist DoD leadership in defining requirements, establishing long-range plans, defining project and program success factors, and implementing assessment methodologies for achieving consistent, systematic processes.

  • Make recommendations to the DoD leadership and facilitate the identification of trends and the desired future state for the DoD Program.

Client Engagement

· Learn about the Noblis business development lifecycle, processes, tools, and account structure

· Contribute specialized domain or technical content to proposal sections or client white papers

· Build a productive relationship with your client and understand their structure and goals


Required skills and knowledge:

  • Education/Experience:

  • 3 years (BA/BS, MA/MS degree), 7 years (Associates degree), or 9 years (No degree) of relevant experience in program and project management.

  • DoD SECRET clearance or higher, or ability to obtain a U.S. clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with the U.S. government on areas concerning national security.

  • Familiarity with State-level and regional WMD threats.

  • Familiarity with nonproliferation obligations, approaches, and objectives.

  • International engagement experience.

  • Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects which includes prioritizing, tracking, attention to detail, follow-up and follow-through to project completion.

  • Flexibility/adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Candidates with a Secret, Top Secret, or Top Secret/SCI clearance are preferred.
