Description DEPARTMENT: Social Services LOCATION: Longview POSITION TITLE: HOPE Village Client Aide Security Support COMPENSATION: $20.00 (HOURLY) STATUS: Regular Non-Exempt Full-Time / Part-Time / On-Call GENERAL STATEMENT : The Salvation Army is a branch of the Christian Church and the ultimate goal of all programs is spiritual regeneration of all people. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: HS Diploma or GED Documented experience in public contact / Customer Service Documented experience in homeless services (or related experience). Must successfully pass the background/reference check process Ability and willingness to understand and fully comply with mandatory reporting requirements and laws pertaining to vulnerable adults and children. Obtain documentation of current TB test. Complete the Bloodborne Pathogen training within 90 days of employment. SOFTWARE-RELATED SKILLS: Outlook, Microsoft Word Working knowledge of integrated database applications and/or ability to use new software programs with basic training SCOPE OF POSITION: Within the HOPE Village Emergency Housing Program, the "Client Aide is responsible for completion of various assigned tasks including, but not limited to: Gate duty, shower and laundry management, resident well checks, living unit clean outs, groundskeeping, assisting with security rounds. The "Client Aide Security Support" works closely with Northwest Enforcement Security Staff in the safety and security of residents and facilities of the HOPE Village Program. Whether providing basic needs services, or de-escalating negative client interactions, the position receives daily supervision from the HOPE Village Program Coordinator. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to safely follow instructions pertaining to the use and storage of all workplace chemicals Ability to conduct visual inspections of the workplace on a continuous basis, through direct observation, walking inspections and the use of video monitor Assists HOPE Village Security Staff Northwest Enforcement (NWE) in all related duties ensuring client and facility safety Reports directly to Program Manager on duty / On Call Respond to and provide crisis intervention an
