Position Overview:

As an SSD Qualification and Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating and improving the reliability of non-volatile memory systems. You will develop test methodologies, analyze qualification data, and implement best-in-class processes to enhance product performance and durability. This position involves working closely with internal and external collaborators to ensure outstanding quality standards in the industry.

Responsibilities :

Develop and implement SSD reliability and qualification methodologies for data center applications.

Analyze system and component reliability data to assess product feasibility and risk.

Review and contribute to system product architecture to align with quality and reliability specifications.

Investigate qualification failures through electrical and mechanical failure analysis, identifying root causes and corrective actions.

Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including research and development, to drive continuous improvements in system reliability.

Minimum Qualifications :

Master’s degree with 5+ years or Ph.D. with 3+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Experience in product/device engineering, system validation, or reliability engineering in the semiconductor industry.

Strong analytical skills in statistical data analysis using Excel, R, or JMP.

Knowledge of NAND (2D & 3D) device physics, reliability, and endurance.

Ability to work independently and drive process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with SSD firmware, drivers, and application development.

Familiarity with NVMe, PCIe, SAS, and/or SATA-based product development or validation.

Experience with quality and reliability engineering methodologies.

Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as C, C++, or Python.

Strong communication and technical leadership skills, with the ability to engage with senior leadership.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$95,000.00 - $200,500.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
