About the Role: Maxar has an opening for a Sr Director, Business Development on the US Government team. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and generating demand to execute enhanced offerings on existing major USG contract.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to meet annual revenue and booking quotas, while developing and implementing the growth strategy set by leadership and other cross-functional teams. The role requires a technical team player and peer leader with a focus on increasing awareness and adoption of Maxar's robust earth observation imagery solutions and capabilities.

This role is an opportunity to expand the growth of an existing contract with the NRO.You will utilize your technical understanding of the customer as well as their requirements, budgets, and future plans to increase revenue growth and drive customer mission success. Your success will be founded on your business relations background enabling you to drive engagement at an executive level. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement growth strategy alongside of account leads to execute enhanced offerings

Leverage existing relationships with senior NGA or NGO personnel

Convey and execute on technical vision, positioning Maxar's capabilities with the customers mission

Identify areas for growth and positioning that drives adoption of products and services

Assess competitive risk using financial, budget and economic data and identify manageable solutions for customers

Work cross collaboratively within internal and external stakeholders

Support Sales and Marketing teams in the development of product positioning, presentations, press releases, product workshops, training workshops, and customer visits

Strengthen and progress deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of NRO and/or NGA's environment

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business or political science; work experience may be substituted

10+ years of experience working in, or for, the intelligence or defense community or government

Excellent cross-functional skills across customers, sales, strategy, marketing, product, legal, and operations

Illustrated success in achieving revenue targets

Self-starter with demonstrated success working in a deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision

Flexible with the ability to work independently and on teams

Strategic approach to product positioning

Deep geospatial knowledge with a netw rk in the industry
