Position: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Type: Full-Time/Direct Hire

Location: Longmeadow, MA

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time permanent position with a growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions, including reviewing invoices, coding expenses, and obtaining approvals.

• Prepare and process weekly check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and vendor information.

• Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparing accruals and reconciling accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.

• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
