Job Summary:

Trane in New York & Long Island is hiring a Service Coordinator II to join our team. In this critical role, you will be the central hub of our service department, responsible for planning, coordinating, controlling, and directing activities of operational resources for our controls team. You will coordinate the execution of service agreements and repair work, ensuring the procurement of appropriate labor and materials for work completion within financial standards. Additionally, you will coordinate and liaise with the team of service coordinators across New York and Long Island. Daily interactions will include customer communication, liaising with Field Technicians, and coordinating job priorities with Service Managers and fellow Trane associates. Your role is vital to the seamless operation and success of our service department.

Where is the work:

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate service resources, dispatch, and assign team members to projects.

  • Schedule personnel, materials, sub-contractors, and equipment based on project needs, skill sets, and availability.

  • Interact and communicate with all Project Managers and HVAC Field Technician Supervisors to assign/dispatch Controls Technicians and HVAC Technicians (when needed)

  • Coordinate operations interaction with the Parts Department and Acquisition, as necessary.

  • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, routing them to the assigned staff, and responding to special requests.

  • Generate work orders, review project paperwork, forward project paperwork to Project Administrators, and generate various reports.

Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent Customer Service skills - need to be extremely comfortable and effective on the phone and in email/writing

  • Must be organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily interruptions.

  • Must be able to work independently and make informed decisions.

  • Must be able to work well with others as a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong critical thinking skills and strong organizational skills.

  • Effective and clear communication skills.

  • Ability to take direction and demonstrate innovation.

  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.

  • Flexibility to work overtime, as required.

  • Familiarity with the operation of Energy Management Systems, HVAC Systems, and/or Temperature Controls encouraged

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $60,000-75,000

Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
