Job Summary

The ESG - Program Manager will report to the ESG - Senior Director and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage and report on Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to align with evolving regulatory requirements. Enhancing our GHG emissions reporting processes and energy management practices are top priorities for Altice USA requiring active engagement from business leaders across the enterprise. This role is responsible for ensuring the success of our Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reporting and Reduction Program and the successful individual will develop and lead our approach to ensure audit readiness which may include the adoption of new reporting tools, automation, process improvement, and documentation of processes and internal controls.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage from collection to reporting all GHG emissions data for Scope 1, 2 & 3 in line with the GHG Protocol to ensure evolving regulatory requirements are met.
  • Design sustainable approach for Scope 1, 2 & 3 reporting and document processes and internal controls.
  • Work closely with Internal and External Audit teams to ensure GHG Assurance readiness.
  • Identify energy management risks and opportunities and develop business cases for new energy initiatives to drive achievement of GHG emissions reductions.
  • Serve as a lead project owner within the ESG team for energy management, focused on executing assigned projects from the concept through to execution.
  • Collaborate regularly with internal stakeholders including real estate and procurement, and external partners such as consultants and energy suppliers to ensure energy and GHG reduction initiatives are progressing in accordance with Altice USA's GHG reduction strategy and targets.
  • Consider and stay attuned to the changing ESG/sustainability landscape to ensure compliance with all reporting obligations required from regulators, customers, and suppliers.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Altice USA's GHG emissions and energy management initiatives and utilize systems, standards & programs, and reports to demonstrate progress against goals and targets.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on external and internal energy and GHG management trends and opportunities.
  • Provide perspective in the development of Altice USA's energy policies, energy procurement, renewable energy and energy efficiency practices and procedures.
  • Perform regular quality control audits of energy data being gathered across the business to ensure Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions information is complete and accurate.
  • Work with federal, state, and utility programs to identify energy incentives and rebates related to GHG reduction initiatives.
  • Work closely with Finance/Accounting/Data & Analytics to propose enhancements to existing systems and integrations to help the analysis and reporting of current data.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. MBA preferred
  • 3-7 years of experience in ESG, CSR, GHG Accounting, Energy Management or Sustainability related role. Big 4 experience preferred
  • Proficient in systems/tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting and prior experience with ESG data management systems
  • Proficient understanding and knowledge of corporate environmental sustainability and GHG accounting
  • Experience with the GHG Protocol, TCFD, SBTi, SASB, CDP and other sustainability reporting frameworks is preferred
  • Familiarity with SEC, California, CSRD and other regulatory requirements pertaining to GHG emissions and climate risk management
  • Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels of Altice USA as well as with external partners
  • Working knowledge of energy audits, renewable energy, PPA's, energy procurement, carbon offsets, and other GHG reduction strategies
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to navigate a complex and ambiguous environment
  • Ability to think critically and work in an agile fashion
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience implementing data governance and controls
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to develop insights. Must be comfortable with large data sets
  • Strong PowerPoint, Word, and Excel capabilities
  • Commitment and passion for corporate environmental sustainability

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $77,112.00-$126,684.00/year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
