ManpowerGroup Test Engineer I in Long Branch, New Jersey

Our client, a leading manufacturing company is seeking a is seeking a Test Engineer I to join their Regulatory and Test team. As a Test Engineer I, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the compliance and quality of our products for global markets.

Job Title: Test Engineer I

Location: Long Branch New Jersey

Pay: $40 - 47/h + Benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and execute regulatory approvals for fire and life safety products, overseeing submissions to regulatory bodies and managing projects to ensure certifications are maintained.

  • Collaborate with development engineers, program management, and operations to ensure regulatory certifications meet required specifications, including the development of technical publications for accurate installation instructions and user manuals.

  • Assist in planning, developing, and maintaining test infrastructure required for product testing, working closely with development engineers.

  • Develop and implement processes, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with local, national, and international codes/standards.

  • Liaise with Regulatory Bodies such as UL, ULC, FM, and others to execute testing and ensure product compliance.

Requirements

  • AAS degree in Engineering or equivalent, with 5 or more years of experience, or 10 years of applicable experience.

  • Proficiency in measuring and recording electrical properties, as well as reading schematics and engineering documentations.

  • Strong understanding of electronic designs and product development lifecycle concepts.

  • Experience with defect tracking, version control tools, and software platforms such as Microsoft Windows/Office and SAP.

  • Ability to interpret technical instructions, make administrative decisions, and problem-solve effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with submitting and maintaining regulatory certifications and approvals.

  • Hands-on experience with product testing and troubleshooting of electronics.

  • Domain expertise in the fire and life safety industry.

  • Familiarity with code and standards development.

Position Criteria:

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong team player with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a global setting.
