We are seeking a talented and driven Sr. Accountant/Assistant Accounting Manager to become a key player in our dynamic accounting team. Based in Long Beach, California, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial success of a rapidly growing company. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports while playing an essential part in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings. Responsibilities

• Guide the accounting team and oversee daily operations

• Produce monthly financial statements and analysis in collaboration with the Controller

• Prepare and review various types of journal entries, including those for accruals, depreciation, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Reconcile and review Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis

• Review the work of Accounting Assistants, including journal entries and AP/AR postings

• Research and address financial discrepancies to ensure accuracy

• Aid in the preparation of schedules for quarterly financial reviews with management

• Support the creation of financial statements, reports, forecasts, and budgets

• Ensure the final monthly trial balance and supporting schedules are accurate.

Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably as a Senior Accountant or Assistant Accounting Manager.

• Demonstrated proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Extensive experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets.

• Experience in the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is essential.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Detail-oriented accounting certification (such as CPA, CMA, CGA, or CA) is preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
