The Business Consulting and Education (BCE) team creates and delivers high-quality, industry-leading consulting and education programs that help advisors better manage their businesses in addition to helping them plan and prepare for the future. The key to the team’s success lies in its ability to create highly relevant and scalable programs that turn practice management insights into actionable plans that advisors can implement in their firms. These programs are delivered by a nationwide team of experienced consultants who work closely with advisors and their Schwab relationship managers to understand the firm’s challenges and areas of opportunity, and then map a path forward.

Programs developed and managed by BCE include, but are not limited to, the annual Charles Schwab RIA Benchmarking Study, immersive multi-week ‘Insight to Action’ consulting programs, the Schwab Executive Leadership Program, Schwab RIA Manager Advancement Program, RIA Talent Advantage Scholarship Program, Advisor Services University Grant, Virtual Practice Management, and the RIA Intern Program. The BCE team also produces white papers on a range of practice management issues in addition to creating resources to help advisors navigate compliance requirements.

What you’ll do:

As a key contributor to the Schwab Advisor Services BCE organization, you’ll be responsible for managing the bi-annual RIA Manager Advancement Program. The Schwab RIA Manager Advancement Program (RIA MAP) is a program dedicated to helping high-performing, mid-level managers within RIA firms become stronger and more confident leaders. This exclusive four-and-a-half-month virtual program blends the deep industry experience of Charles Schwab with practical applications for RIA firms and provides a system to learn, apply, and practice concepts essential to becoming an effective manager in the RIA space. Combining courses featuring proprietary curricula, weekly virtual instruction from Schwab’s consulting team, interactive guided online learning, and peer interaction and discussions, the Schwab RIA MAP equips participants to transition successfully from an individual contributor to manager. The program also includes an exclusive experience offered to participants at Schwab’s annual conference, IMPACT, in the fall of each year.

You will proactively manage the strategic direction of the program as well as execute on the day-to-day responsibilities including, but not limited to, managing program materials (e.g., client communications, workshop resources, data/analytics, etc.), managing the registration and payment process, managing program Outlook mailbox, maintaining third-party vendor relationship, coordination of the program’s key events, planning and executing the cohort experience at IMPACT, and working with BCE partners and leaders to ensure successful execution of the overall program.

In addition, you will identify opportunities to continuously improve and evolve the program (e.g. communications, curriculum, workshops, etc.) to elevate the client experience and deliver a best-in-industry program. You will connect with the content, allowing you to offer perspectives and insights based on your expertise and present your ideas clearly and in ways that garner support and buy-in from critical stakeholders.

As opportunities arise, you will also have the opportunity to contribute your time and skills to various tasks and projects within the BCE organization. This may include, but is not limited to, helping the BCE team of consultants prepare for external speaker presentations, and researching and developing resources to help advisors manage and grow their firms.

  • Excellent project management skills, producing significant output with minimal wasted effort. Plans, organizes, schedules, and executes in an efficient, productive manner - overcoming obstacles through creative, resourceful, and innovative solutions.

  • Self-motivated with a ‘can-do’, results-oriented approach to Possess a bias for action and the ability to overcome obstacles and successfully managing deliverables across multiple work streams; potentially executing on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong ability to interact with clients to deliver a stellar experience as well as build and cultivate relationships with cross-functional team members and influence business partners for mutual gain.

  • A keen eye for detail and a sense of ownership for delivering high-quality results that lead to the optimal client experience.

  • Experience managing third-party business partner relationships for high-visibility, client-facing

  • 7-10 years in a program management and/or content development

  • MBA preferred, but not

CO Salary Range: USD $97,600 - $162,700 / Year
