Primary Function

We are seeking an Events Technician with a specialism in Video & Post Production to work onsite at our client offices in London. This exciting role will have the ability to support two business streams, Events Production and Video Production.

As an AV Technician Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional events and video productions. The role is split 60% events production and 40% video production, requiring a skilled individual with a strong technical background and creative flair.

For the Events Production stream, the ideal candidate will manage the technical aspects of events, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting. Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless event delivery and provide technical support to clients and internal stakeholders.

For the Video Production stream, the ideal candidate will contribute to the video production process, including shooting, editing, and post-production. There will be a need to support the creative teams in bringing concepts to life and ensure adherence to brand guidelines and quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both technical and non-technical clients.

  • Collaborate with the team to plan, staff, and execute successful events within client-owned spaces.

  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in operating audio-visual systems, including Ross Carbonite, ETC Ion, Sony RCP 1500, and SSL L100 consoles.

  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency working within a studio environment operating Canon C300 MK 111 or similar, various lenses, specialised microphones (Sennheiser G4 Lav mics), various lighting systems (Element tiles, Rainbow LEDS, Astera light panels) and auto-cue systems.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain audio-visual equipment, ensuring optimal performance.

  • Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.

  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned.

  • Effectively communicate complex information to various stakeholders.

  • Provide support for video production, including acting as a Director/Producer/Editor when needed.

  • Maintain high production standards and quality control.

  • Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for improvement.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders

  • Strong on set directing experience managing clients and production choreography

  • Excellent attention to detail for on-set productions & studio setup inline with Client branding & messaging.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross- functional team

  • Strong understanding of Adobe suite

  • Strong proficiency in operating a range of installed AV equipment, including Ross Carbonite, Barco switching, Sony RCP 1500 and ETC Ion lighting desk

  • Understanding and experience of various event formats, including Q&A, training events, town hall meetings etc

  • Self Starter that can demonstrate being open to learning, and assisting with the development of the video production service.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of studio/event and/or field video production experience as a Producer & AV Technician

  • Experience working in a broadcast environment, with specific exposure to operating in a gallery/master control room setting
