12 Month FTC
We are Talk: Talk is the destination for viewers and listeners who are interested in straight-talking opinion and expert insight on news and current affairs in the UK. The talent roster for Talk includes Julia Hartley-Brewer, Mike Graham, Jeremy Kyle and a host of others presenters. Talk attracts over 40 million monthly online views, and on DAB Radio, its audience has grown by more than 19% year-on-year. Talk is distributed across a range of platforms including YouTube, Amazon Fire, Samsung, LG and others, as well as digital radio.
The Role: We are looking for a new Visual Operations Coordinator to help oversee, run and maintain Talk’s visual operations. The successful candidate will have a great ‘can-do’ attitude and quick-thinking problem solver.
Responsibilities:
Manage the overall visual output from Talk’s multiCAM System
Monitor live feeds from news agencies; flagging and requesting as and when
Coordinate the sourcing, booking and delivering of live feeds
Ensure and execute regular maintenance of video systems and servers
Train and schedule the visual operations tram
Ensure best practices are adhered to by Talk’s multiCAM operators
Ensure tracking and reporting of technical issues to Talk’s engineering department
Facilitate effective collaboration between video editors and visual production
Oversee the effective media management and logging of video content
Attend daily morning editorial conference and keep the wider team informed
Troubleshooting technical issues when they arise
Strategic planning around current and future workflows
Overseeing continuity and ensuring all aspects of the schedule are consistent
What we’re looking for from you:
Firm grasp of technology using visual production and experience in coordinating
Knowledgeable about the production process and Adobe Creative Cloud
Should have an understanding of broadcast systems
Awareness of cloud-based asset management systems
A great ‘can-do’ attitude and will swing into action when called upon
Ability to perform under pressure and with tight deadlines
Forge strong working relationships across departments and with external agencies
