Position: Video Editor

Reporting to: Head of Creative  

Location Base: Hybrid – 2 days per week Topdeck HQ (Chiswick, London), 3 days per week remote  

Start date: ASAP

Overview

As a digital native, forward-thinking creative, you will deliver innovative video, animation and imagery to inspire people and excite them about exploring the world. Day to day, you’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, acting as an integral member of the Creative Team – the bulk of your time will be spent editing existing video content to make short-form, attention grabbing ads. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Edit existing video content to brief, creating compelling stories across multiple platforms including paid advertising 

  • Idea generation and curation for new videos, merging your own experience with consumer insights and key marketing messages to create content that resonates with our target audience 

  • A pulse on video trends, sounds and effects to use in content creation – for varying audiences from Gen Z to 60+ 

  • Through a test and learn approach, help us understand what really delivers results across various paid advertising channels 

  • Produce engaging animated graphics and video content bespoke to channel requirements, showing knowledge of and consideration for the varying audiences 

  • Work flexibly and reactively across multiple edits and projects at the same time, ensuring all deadlines are met 

  • Execute simple design briefs, ensuring that all collateral adheres to brand guidelines, including but not limited to edm, web and social assets 

Experience, Requirements and Key Behaviours 

  • 2+ years' experience across both video and animation 

  • Experience in content curation for the Gen Z audience  

  • Able to take and action feedback, rejection and constructive criticism – as well as being able to back your own ideas 

  • Understanding & knowledge of Australian culture and trends is desirable 

  • An understanding of the marketing funnel and basic principles of the main stages 

  • A test and learn approach to content creation, not afraid to fall fast and learn quick 

  • Understanding of good practice for paid content vs organic content 

  • Experience creating and editing content specifically for social platforms 

  • Experience in colour correction and colour grading 

  • Highly skilled in Adobe CC (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and Media Encoder) as well as producing content in-app (IG and TikTok) 

  • Excellent communicator and team player with high level of emotional intelligence 

  • High level of technical ability with experience designing across multiple channels in a time efficient manner 

  • Smart worker with experience multitasking and owning numerous large projects at one time 

  • Problem solver with a positive attitude, looking for solutions and using self-initiative 

  • And of course… a passion for all things travel-related!
