Amazon’s Fashion team is looking for a talented Senior Vendor Manager with proven experience in strategy, execution, negotiations, innovation, and P&L management that thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

The Senior Vendor Manager is the owner of business relationships with our most strategic selling partners, and thus plays a vital role in building and sustaining multi-year strategic relationships with external vendors, driving growth and profit strategies, advancing automation and process improvements, and anticipating and responding to industry trends. Further responsibilities will be to coordinate Marketing/Advertising activities and to drive innovative projects to constantly improve the customer experience.

We are looking for a candidate with strong vendor management and negotiation skills, analytical horsepower, excellent business judgment, deep curiosity about how things work, and a passion for creating a world class shopping experience for our customers. The candidate must be willing to challenge the status quo in order to improve existing workflows and processes to step change how we do business and delight our customers. This individual will work with Selling Partners of all sizes and represent Amazon in interactions at all levels of these organizations. Therefore, this individual must have excellent communication skills and be a strong influencer to drive joint progress on Selling Partner goals and Amazon priorities.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage and build comprehensive selection strategies utilizing industry supply chain conditions and market trends, and mitigating risks through procurement term structure. This requires the SVM to be solution-oriented & able to integrate strong and clear data analysis and business rationale into sound decision making

• Negotiate best in class commercial terms and consistently audit Seller Partner P&L and business KPIs.

• Deliver maximum product availability in the category through effective end-to-end management of the supply chain.

• Have a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality and business trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments

• Build in depth understanding of customer needs, to advocate for and drive delivery of an unparalleled shopping experience for Amazon customers through project management

• Develop and execute collaborative marketing and promotions strategies for your vendors.

• Drive system/process improvements working with technical teams, vendor operations, and inventory management.

• Cooperate and coordinate with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders, including dotted-lined management of external-facing service teams

• Manage large scale catalogue selection, be solution-oriented & able to integrate strong and clear data analysis and business rationale into sound decision making.

• Manage item/vendor set-up in various tools.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or experience in a professional field or military

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL

  • Experience with Excel

  • Experience in account management, project/program management, or buying

  • Experience using data to influence business decisions

  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration

  • Experience with business analysis and P&L management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior negotiation experience

  • Experience with SQL

  • Proven ability to influence others in a business setting
