Amazon Senior Product Manager, Search & Conversational Shopping in London, United Kingdom

Description

We are searching for pioneers who are passionate about technology, innovation, and customer experience to join the Search & Conversational Shopping team.

Our mission is to make it easy for customers to find and discover the best products to meet their needs by helping with product research, providing comparisons and recommendations, answering specific product questions, and more.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to define product requirements and evaluation metrics and collaborate closely with Science, Engineering, CX Quality, Editorial, Legal and PR teams to evaluate, benchmark and improve performance in line with those requirements.

The right candidate will:

• Thrive in ambiguous situations, i.e. able to deliver strategies and plans where there is no pre-defined playbook or metrics and able to use judgment to make decisions in the absence of exhaustive data/benchmarks (Right a Lot).

• Be a strong owner, proactively stepping in to deliver what needs to be done, even when it sometimes falls outside of core responsibility areas (Ownership).

• Dive deep to evaluate how products and features are performing against key metrics, identifying improvement areas (Dive Deep).

• Consistently hit deadlines and key milestones, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to keep the program on track in a fast-paced environment (Delivers Results, Bias for Action).

• Be a clear and concise verbal and written communicator who is used to independently writing high quality documents for senior audiences to surface key discussion topics, risks or help needed (Insist on the Highest Standards).

• Independently seek to understand differing viewpoints from a diverse set of stakeholders (e.g. business, legal, PR, science / engineering across) and is able to drive consensus with limited guidance (Earns Trust).

• Independently generate new ideas to solve problems not previously encountered; and will find ways to remove unnecessary complexity in order to enable scale (Invent & Simplify).

Key job responsibilities

• You will write feature requirements and work across teams to craft disruptive solutions for complex problems.

• Define and execute various strategies for collecting user research and customer feedback. You will leverage both quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate launch readiness and identify areas to improve.

• Partner with stakeholders to design and align on roadmaps and goals.

• Work closely with business, policy, legal and PR stakeholders to define guidelines and tenets on how to answer customer questions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • 3+ years of product or program management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

  • Experience owning technology products
