Stantec Senior / Principal Civil Engineer - Infrastructure in London, United Kingdom

We are current seeking a Senior / Principal Civil Engineer to join us in London. This is an opportunity to join a busy group with an established track record of delivering innovative projects for our clients and the community across the South East and beyond.

Our London office is centrally located in Farringdon, right across from the station making it easily accessible. We can offer hybrid and remote working options to ensure you enjoy a flexible working life to suit you.

Over the years, we have worked on some fantastic high-profile projects such as Lewisham Gateway, Elephant Park, Agar Grove Estate in Camden, South Thamesmead, Old Oak Common in West London, and Battersea Power Station. We also work on projects outside of London currently including the Isle of White, Jersey, Birmingham, Malta and Gozo. You will have the opportunity to join a close-knit team where you will lead and mentor some of our more junior engineers and technicians. You will take responsibility for leading the technical delivery and approval of projects as well as reviewing the work produced by our team.

Your role will be to play a key part of our engineering team in delivering high quality design projects on time and within budget. You will work closely with our clients to influence the development of infrastructure scheme's in the region. As we grow, you will have opportunities to progress and develop your own career within Stantec.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll be an MEng/BEng qualified and a Chartered Engineer. You will be focused of achieving coordinated solutions, a tactical thinker and effective at communicating with both internal and external parties (for example utility companies, drainage authorities, highway authorities).

Ideally, you will have expertise in highway and drainage infrastructure design to deliver multi-disciplinary projects for the entire lifecycle – from concept and planning through to detailed design and delivery. You will have a proven record of delivering projects closely with clients across technical disciplines and experience of mentoring and managing the workload of junior team members. Skills with Civils 3D, MicroDrainage and utility coordination are advantageous.

Your passion and experience of delivering quality infrastructure design solutions and managing of processes with regulators and local authorities is most crucial to your success in this role.
