About the Role

We want an experienced Consultant to join the RELX Analytics & Strategic Pricing team. In this high profile, diverse role, you will use your advanced consulting skills in project management, problem solving, communication and change management to transform pricing strategies and business models across RELX’s global portfolio of businesses.

About the Team

We provide internal consulting services to RELX companies – Elsevier, LexisNexis Risk, LexisNexis Legal and RX. We work with leadership teams developing actionable pricing strategies and analytics across RELX’s market leading and innovative information businesses.

The team is small (7 members), diverse, close-knit, and high performing. Our Strategic Pricing projects (which you will lead) help to transform pricing strategies and business models. Our Analytics projects (led by another with whom you will collaborate) enable data-led decision making. As one of our two Practice leaders you will be supported by four analysts.

We place high importance on professional growth. We have an excellent track record of internal progression with team alumni in senior positions across RELX.

We are managed by the VP of Analytics & Strategic Pricing within Corporate Strategy, who reports to the RELX Chief Strategy Officer.

Our office is RELX’s Trafalgar Square corporate HQ. We work remotely with occasional meetings in the office or at UK client sites. Some projects are more global in nature which means meetings sometimes won’t fit into UK office hours. We support each other to work flexibly, prioritizing work-life balance and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

This is broadly how you will spend your time:

(Approx. 70-80% of the role):

  • Lead the design and management of projects delivering transformational impact across RELX, with contributions including:

  • Defining project objectives, deliverables, scope, approach, and timeline

  • Leading hypothesis generation workshops

  • Developing analytical problem-solving approaches to deliver insights

  • Collaborating with leaders to develop actionable, impactful recommendations

  • Preparing compelling presentations to clearly communicate the case for change

  • Readying the business to implement recommendations with measurable results

(Approx. 20-30% of the role):

  • Develop Strategic Pricing capabilities across RELX by:

  • Supporting the development and execution of workshops, webinars, presentations, and training

  • Providing informal, ad-hoc advice to colleagues

  • Proactively and continuously gathering intelligence on industry trends

Qualifications and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Finance, Economics, Science, Mathematics, Engineering etc.) required. MBA preferred

  • Experience with strategy, business model design and/or strategic pricing topics
