As Senior Manager in Circular Product Design you will be part of a team that sets the strategic direction for sustainable products and packaging. Your focus will be on products from a design perspective. You will be responsible for delivering our Circular Product Design Strategy, while also developing internal Sustainability and Circularity Standards, and leading Strategic Projects on the topic.

Core Responsibilities

To succeed in the role, you bring a mix of deep knowledge on circular product design and sustainability, and you have successfully worked with circular design from a strategic perspective before. You find yourself proficient in topics like circular systems thinking, and products with embedded electronics, and you can build and embed a cohesive circular design strategy that bridges high sustainability ambitions and commercial logic.

In combination, you have a proven record of strong project management capabilities and very strong people and communications skills. You approach work analytically and outcome driven and understand that collaboration is always the best approach.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the development of our Circular Product Design Strategy in close collaboration with internal and external partners to set a measurable ambition and the plan to reach the ambition

  • Drive strategic projects linked to circular product design in close collaboration across the business with areas such as Operations, Product Designers, and the Circular Business Models team

  • Develop internal sustainability standards on sustainable and circular product design

  • You will be responsible for different strategic projects with the purpose to develop clear recommendations on circular product design for senior leaders in the company

Do you have what it takes?

  • Science based background within environmental sustainability

  • Deep experience working with environmental sustainability. Previous experience with circular product design in a corporate environment is preferred

  • Strong Project Management and communications skills with an analytical approach.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence and collaborate

  • Proven strategic approach with flair for simplifying complexities and seeing the bigger picture while paying attention to detail

  • Experience with electronic embedded products including batteries is preferred
