Senior Mechanical Engineer

Role Purpose

CBRE are looking to recruit a qualified Senior Mechanical Services Engineer required to work on a wide range of projects including office fit outs, laboratories, industrial & logistics, data centers, listed and public buildings, refurbishments, new build, plant replacements, feasibility studies, project monitoring, sustainability projects, and technical due diligence duties.

The successful candidate should be high performing, at the upper end of engineer level and looking for the next step or has already reached senior engineer level. The applicants should ideally be qualified with a degree or working towards chartership and of a high technical level; practical working experience as working on the tools may be considered as an advantage depending on other experience.

For the right candidate, CBRE will be able to offer support for continuing training, education and developing skills. The Senior Mechanical Design engineer will be working alongside Associate, Director and Senior Director level engineers, and would be expected to be responsible for their own projects.

Our Engineering Consultancy Services division in the UK & Ireland has over 60 engineers of various disciplines working in the UK and is an integral part of CBRE Building Consultancy. ‒ Mechanical Building Services Design

‒ Client Management

‒ Surveys

‒ Investigations and Writing Reports

‒ Preparing Specifications and Tender Documents

‒ Managing Projects

‒ Project cost control and budgets.

‒ Presentations & Fee Bids to Clients

Person Specification/Requirements

‒ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people of all levels of seniority

‒ Educated to degree level or high technical qualifications.

‒ Diligent and pro-active

‒ Ability to prioritise and act on own initiative.

‒ Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail

‒ A flexible approach to work with a willingness to travel if necessary

‒ Technical expert, with REVIT / CAD knowledge, lighting and electrical calculation software proficient
