The Enterprise Communications Design team is looking for a talented Product Designer to partner closely with our product and tech teams as we craft the products our marketers use from campaign conception to completion and analysis. In this role, you will also work closely with designers from other teams to ensure consistent use of design systems and patterns and explore opportunities for connections and hand-offs across the customer journey.

You will be responsible for creating design artifacts such as wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity specifications for research, discussion, presentation, and ultimately product delivery. You will also collaborate on information architecture diagrams, user journey maps, design workshop templates, and other artifacts that will vary to suit the needs of the project.

As part of the broader Enterprise Design & Research organization, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a large variety of designers that support various products and systems across the company. Engaging in the internal design community is just one of the ways that the design organization backs our colleagues through their personal growth and development.

How will you make an impact in this role?

• Ensures visually appealing and usable user interfaces by delivering artifactssuch as wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity specifications

• Develops understanding and empathy for users through user-centered methodologies, external analysis, research, and data

• Presents design decisions to peers and partners with minimal support from senior colleagues.

• Understands American Express design process, design systems and UX patterns.

• Collaborates closely with product managers, engineers and design leads to understand and deliver against project requirements

• Participates in design community

• Leverages design tools to efficiently deliver artifacts

Minimum Qualifications:

• Has at least 2 years of hands-on experience in or with a product designorganization

• Is proficient in Figma

• Demonstrates an understanding of user-centered design methodologies, research and processes.

• Shares solutions to problem-solving initiatives in an engaging way

• Is a proactive and energetic communicator, with an attention to detail
