Description

Amazon is looking for a customer-obsessed Strategic Account Managers with a thorough understanding of the Amazon Marketplace to help shape the future of our 3rd party marketplace.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized and have a demonstrated track record of successful account and project management, juggling multiple projects with competing deadlines, and using data to identify and prioritize opportunities. He/she is an expert in Amazon Marketplace selling. He/she is analytical, enthusiastic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and has strong persuasion skills with the ability to deliver recommendations with authority and influence senior decision makers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of existing strategic accounts against a set of output and input goals by driving the B2B flywheel levers.

  • Help improve business processes and make us more effective in supporting our selling partners

  • Work on projects to improve the long term business customer experience and grow the Amazon Business marketplace.

Operating in a fast-moving and challenging environment, Amazon’s high performance bar requires that you are self-motivated and target driven, skilled in predominantly phone based account management, can work autonomously and take full control and responsibility for achieving your targets.

Key job responsibilities

** Be responsible for building strategic relationships with large e-commerce merchants at the most senior levels. Operationally support them in launching and growing on Amazon for our B2B customers.

** Develop an account plan for building the business on the Amazon Marketplace. Coordinate functional teams to ensure highest integration standards. Manage complex contract negotiations. Successfully prioritize the needs of merchants in a manner that balances their needs and internal priorities.

** Partner closely with internal and external cross-functional teams to guide the direction of our product offerings. Drive content for internal business communications highlighting various initiatives, successes, and improvement opportunities through the voice of your merchants.

** Prepare and conduct business reviews with the senior management teams on progress, opportunities and roadblocks to closing new merchants for the Amazon Marketplace.

** Be accountable for driving, measuring, and reporting on key inputs and outputs in Salesforce and other reporting systems.

** Conduct deep dive analysis on issues affecting the merchant categories and establish periodic reviews that address key business issues.

** This is an individual contributor role.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in sales or marketing work (like e-commerce, retail technology, SaaS) or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of procurement and source to pay methods at small and medium businesses

  • Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level

  • Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent
