Job description

We’re hiring a Regulatory Intelligence Content Manager to build on the success of our first pharmaceutical regulatory information database and help develop new regulatory intelligence products and solutions.

These solutions help life sciences stakeholders understand the rules set by regulatory agencies and in turn guide company strategy, bring and keep products on market successfully and stay compliant with regulators. Citeline successfully launched its first regulatory intelligence database product in 2023, TrialScope Intelligence. Focused on clinical trial transparency regulations, the product complements Citeline’s suite of publications and products including the Pink Sheet, TrialScope Disclose and TrialTrove and Sitetrove.

We plan to expand our regulatory intelligence offerings, with new solutions addressing various areas of biopharma regulation. The Regulatory Intelligence Content Manager will play a pivotal role in these efforts – understanding customer needs and communicating them to internal teams, leading the Regulatory Intelligence staff, and envisioning how best to parse and present information to equip our industry customers in their work.

This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing team and help shape the content components of an expanding area of our business. As a member of the content team, the Content Manager reports to Citeline’s Executive Director of News and Insights but works with colleagues at all levels across the company.

Key duties and responsibilities

We’re looking for a take-charge expert to be a central content partner in building and maintaining these solutions. The Regulatory Intelligence Content Manager will be work closely with product managers, tech teams, content peers in the company and others; set content goals, priorities, and processes; and oversee ongoing operations.

The Regulatory Intelligence Content Manager should have expertise in database systems, specifically content elements, and knowledge about the biopharma regulatory field. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for customer needs and is a strategic thinker who also understands how crafting the concrete details of a product makes strategy successful.

As Regulatory Intelligence Content Manager, you will:

  • Drive business growth by building, enhancing and maintaining products: Undertake multi-faceted activities including identifying content-specific requirements, developing standard processes for content acquisition and maintenance of robust and accurate information, as well as quality assurance.

  • Identify product opportunities: Stay abreast of regulatory trends and emerging areas of new regulations, maintain competitive intelligence of regulatory field. Meet with customers for product input and to discern new information needs. Develop working knowledge of specific regulatory field targeted by a potential new product.

  • Support development and commercial activities: Work with Product and Tech teams and wider project team on content templates and workflows. Represent customer needs and content team by determining how to structure information for usefulness and precision and working with Product and Tech to achieve it. Partner with sales, customer service teams and others to secure sales and renewals.

Key requirements

  • BA or BSc, preferably in a life-science field or equivalent experience.

  • Extensive work experience, preferably at a specialized business information provider in the life sciences.

  • Proven capacity to embrace product development and be a key partner in a cross-functional team.

  • Experience in building and expanding content databases preferred, with ability to initiate and manage content scope, acquisition and timelines and also learn from internal subject matter experts. Knowledge of how understanding and validating of regulatory information may differ from other kinds of data.

  • Experience in leading staff and managing budgets and vendors.

  • Knowledge of the overall biopharma and life sciences regulatory process and ability to build content expertise on specific topics. Ease in interacting with both customers and regulatory community groups to discuss regulatory topics.

  • Facility in using project management platforms and similar tools.
