Job Summary:

This position is responsible for undertaking HR operations within the region, including delivery of compliance programs, diversity & inclusion initiatives, employee relations and policy implementation.

"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage periodic review of HR policies, programs and management instructions, championing & implementing revisions to promote internal equity and/or competitiveness within the industry, whilst maintaining compliance

  • Coordinate the process of setting up in a new country location (country-entity), bringing together the global business units (GBUs), payroll, legal, immigration, tax, finance, and any groups that need to be involved

  • Deliver advice, guidance and coaching of country level work visa requirements, work visa options, compliance and related HR/payroll work processes whilst ensuring compliance is maintained within the region

  • Assess and make recommendations on Client specific requirements and/or initiatives that affect the region

  • Provide support to project HR staff, as required, ensuring consistency and compliance of regional HR activities including onboarding, managing assignments, redeployment, and separations

  • Plan and deliver Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) activities, including championing D&I within the region

  • Champion the facilitation of training programs for new or revised policies or programs and evaluate effectiveness of implementation

  • Provide advice, guidance and coaching to regional personnel in employee administration, policy, and employee relations (ER)

  • Manage complex ER investigations, end-to-end, including conducting intake meetings, background research, investigative interviews, report writing, corrective actions and debrief meetings

  • Coach and advise all levels of management through ER matters

  • Partner closely with global cross-functional partners within the ER communities of expertise, Legal, HR, Ethics and Compliance, Security, Industrial/Labor Relations and GBUs

  • Facilitate ER training for managers, supervisors and employee-levels

  • Deliver workforce reduction processes as initiated by Project HR and Project Management

  • Perform other duties as required by the Country HR Manager

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources with extensive HR work experience in the UK

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in multiple HR disciplines including policy or development, employment compliance and project delivery.

  • Experience handling employee investigations

  • Extensive knowledge of UK employment legislation and compliance requirements

  • Demonstrated experience writing both high-level and detailed communications

  • Must be able to work flexible hours for periodic interfaces/meetings with other global offices as required located in US, Australia, India.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience handling employee investigations and developing performance improvement plans

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in international HR Areas; immigration/work, expatriate assignments, compensation and relocation.

  • Experience in the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Industry (EPC)

  • Advanced knowledge of employment compliance issues in the UK region

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, whilst managing changing priorities & deadlines with multiple stakeholders

  • Proven ability to work across HR disciplines to drive business outcomes within the region

  • Intermediate skills in MS office suite producing business-level reports, presentations, and recommendations
