Flexible hybrid working - 3 days a week together in our London Digital Hub (with flexible 2 days remote wherever).

We are looking for talented Product Managers to come join our fantastic Omni Shop Team at EE. We are on a mission to create the most personal, customer focused tech shop in the UK, where anyone can easily buy any product we choose to offer, whether it’s consumer electronics products, gaming, insurance or a new partner subscription.

You'll operate at squad level, leading a cross functional team of colleagues, delivering world class products. You'll influence the experience of millions of customers. The exact digital product or journey in scope of any of our roles will evolve over time.

You’ll be assigned to a squad based upon a combination of your background, development needs, interests and the business’ needs.

HORIZONTAL PRODUCT MANAGER

Focused on specific stages of the customer journey for new & existing verticals, delivering on immediate priorities. Working as part of a full stack development team you will be accountable for the shaping, prioritisation and refinement of the backlog. In addition to leading on the Incremental development towards a vertical priority.

VERTICAL PRODUCT MANAGER

Focused on delivering new & existing verticals such as Gaming, Consumer Electronics, Subscriptions and Insurance, this is a great opportunity to lead the strategy, shaping, road map and delivery of our scale up strategy.

As an experienced Product Manager you will be accountable for the e2e delivery, working closely with Squad Product Managers and their teams on the shaping, refinement of your initiative. Once in development you will oversee delivery by supporting teams to re prioritise and troubleshoot and ensure the product is being developed and launches in line with your vision

You will be the Product Evangelist of your vertical and its target customers, managing stakeholders and internal SMEs, providing great communication throughout and supporting the creation of the GTM strategy.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Be accountable for the product vision and strategy to define and evolve objectives and key results for your squad.

  • You'll inspire, coach and guide a squad to ensure the delivery of outcomes to support the customer and business.

  • Be responsible for interrogating customer insight and data to identify key customer needs whilst supporting business priorities.

  • Provide credible input into your squad strategy and prioritise a backlog to support this with a positive value to effort ratio.

  • You'll leverage the squad's skills to collaboratively discover and iterate solutions that are valuable, usable, feasible and viable.

  • Responsibility for clearly communicating your product’s performance and demonstrate how this contributes to the digital and business objectives.

  • You'll nurture partnerships with stakeholders and collaborate with them to achieve the product vision.

You'll have the following skills & experience

  • Demonstrable success as a product manager over large and complex digital initiatives.

  • Understanding of agile methodologies, ideally as part of a squad.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong commercial background in data driven product insight. With excellent knowledge of product KPIs, and ability to draw insight from the numbers and translate to business requirements.

  • Historic champion of Digital.

  • Adaptable approach to understanding a product’s features and technical composition. You have knowledge of new and emerging technologies and the potential they provide.

  • Strong collaboration mindset with peers, scrum teams and business stakeholders, all to maximise value created by squad.

Why this job matters

The Product Manager (IC) executes a range of workstreams in product development programs across BT Group, managing the implementation and maximal impact of company product strategies, product management, user experience (UX), software engineering, and analysis across multiple product lines.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Executes a range of workstreams in the implementation of product management vision and strategy.

  2. Identifies new products or enhancements to existing products by understanding and analysing user needs, BT Group's current product suite and business requirements of internal functions like sales and delivery.

  3. Collaborates with analytics and engineering teams, and interfaces with cross functional stakeholders e.g. executives, sales, product, marketing, legal, and customer success teams to fulfill the product backlog using Scrum/ Agile methodologies.

  4. Creates and develops high quality work for product roadmapping, mockups, wireframes, POCs(points of contacts), specification writing and product schedules.

  5. Contributes towards the continual assessment of the needs of customers, tech teams and stakeholders in defining and evolving the product strategy.

  6. Ensures accurate and formal product documentation such as feature sheets and user guides.

  7. Ensures constant analysis of customer behavior, developing metrics and cultivating novel techniques to help our customers.

  8. Contributes towards comprehensive product requirements to instrument new tracking events, build data tools, pipelines, analytic dashboards and visualisations.

  9. Mentors other product management professionals, helping to improve the team's abilities by acting as a technical resource.

  10. Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in product management.
