Job Description

Your Role : This role sits within Times Media, reporting to the B2B Team Lead. Whilst physical newspapers are still a key part of our business, driving digital subscriptions and audiences will be the key to future success. The customer is at the heart of everything we do and we are committed to creating long term loyal customers through driving engagement, improving customer experience and creating enhanced products that meet our customers evolving needs.

Role-based at News UK head office in London with 3 days working in the office.

Day to day you will:

  • Develop and lead outbound prospecting strategies to drive B2B subscription growth, ensuring a high-quality pipeline that supports both subscription and revenue expansion.

  • Manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching to contract negotiation and final delivery.

  • Collaborate with marketing, editorial and analytics teams to identify and integrate new sales opportunities and insights into the sales strategy.

  • Work with tech and marketing teams to spearhead corporate storefront development and oversee targeted digital marketing campaigns to generate leads.

  • Support the account management team by identifying upsell opportunities and driving account growth.

  • Innovate and think creatively to maximise revenue potential for the broader business, confidently integrating other business areas such as advertising, Times+, events and licensing into discussions when relevant.

  • Mentor and manage the Sales Executive.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Significant experience in sales or partnerships, ideally within media, publishing, or subscription-based sectors, with a proven track record in outbound sales.

  • Expert in crafting high-quality pitch documents and presentations, with a demonstrated ability to build and sustain strong relationships.

  • Proficient in preparing and maintaining comprehensive sales performance reports for management.

  • Experienced negotiator with a solid grasp of legal terms, skilled in collaborating with legal teams to lead, negotiate, and finalise contracts.

  • Strong commercial acumen, capable of developing financial models to secure approval and optimise business opportunities.

  • Skilled in using CRM tools and sales tracking software to effectively manage leads and monitor progress.
