CBRE GWS Corporate Services are seeking an experienced Multi-skilled Fabric Technician (Handyman) to work on a heritage customer site in London.

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions isa leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting aMulti-skilledFabric Technician(Handyman)to join the teamlocatedin Reading.The successful candidate willberesponsible forassistingthe Fabric Technicians with the day-to-day delivery of various fabric works onthecontractin accordance withthe required CBRE, client and industry standards.

Technical Competencies

The ideal Fabric Improver willexhibitthe following essential technical competencies for the role:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years site experience in a similar role, or fabric trade

  • Completed or working towards the completion of an accredited Multi skilled training course, covering; but not exclusively carpentry/joinery, wet trades, floor and wall finishes, tiling, plastering,roofingand glazing.

  • Above course accreditation with either City & Guilds or NVQ.

  • Willing to works towards Health & Safety qualification e.g. IOSH/NEBOSH/SMSTS.

  • Assistin managing a varied workload and meet contractual KPI’s.

  • Work on own initiative, be proactive and take supervisory instruction.

  • Excellent customer skills and able todeal with on-site customers in a professional mannerat all times.

  • Familiar with building/construction terminology.

Key Duties:

  • Ensure that the fabric maintenance is carried out to meet and exceedexpectations, andagreed service level agreements.

  • Supporting a large heritage estate so must be willing to do a lot of walking.

  • Respond to Building fabric emergency repairs as needed, andassistingcolleagues whererequired.

  • To undertake the reactive maintenance generated via the helpdesk as well as completing fabric PPM.

  • Carry out basic lamping duties as directed in line with CBRE site SOP.

  • Make Supervisor/Manager aware of anysparesdeficienciesrequiredto carry out maintenance of the plant and assets.

  • Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of CAFM system job card.

  • Comply with all Method Statements and Risk Assessments that are prepared for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.Proactively support the ongoing andadditionalHealth & Safety issuesidentifiedin thework place.

  • Ensure Housekeeping of ALL CBRE areas withincontractare kept to CBRE Site Standard.

  • Ensure that any subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes.

  • To develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE staff andclientsstaff.

  • Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, asrequired.

  • Ensurea professionalimage of CBRE is presented to clients andvisitors, andensure excellence in customer service is delivered andpromotedat all times.

  • Ensure that professional and technical skills aremaintainedthrough a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning.

  • Carry out any other dutiesdeemedappropriate byyour line Manager.

  • Support any out of hour’s site emergencies or urgent works, as may berequired.

  • Be prepared toassistat other sites within the Business Unit.

Working Hours

Working Hours Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00, with aone hourlunch break
