About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Kitchen Porter to join us Jumeirah Carlton Tower. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Wash all cutlery, crockery, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
Empty and clean rubbish bins in the Kitchen, Club Room and Room Service area.
Clean the Kitchen, Room Service, and Club Room pantry areas.
Always use correct cleaning materials.
Ensure sufficient cutlery and crockery are available in the staff restaurant.
Report any broken equipment to the Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager.
Assist Chefs with the preparation of mise-en-place when required.
Assist with Portering duties in the restaurant pantry if needed.
Peel vegetables and fruits and pack away all dry stores that come into the kitchen.
Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to hotel grooming standards.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Good level of English (Essential)
Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and responsibilities
