Job Title: INSIGHTS MANAGER, ARTIST INSIGHTS

Reporting to: SENIOR DIRECTOR, ARTIST INSIGHTS

At Warner Recorded Music, our Transformation team helps drive innovation, growth opportunities and culture evolution across the global business. We’re a passionate collective of strategists, analysts, operators and creatives dedicated to supporting our labels and affiliates around the world. Within this team, the Artist Insights & Strategy unit delivers actionable insights and strategic recommendations that support our labels, inform marketing campaigns, fuel fan connection and help shape artists’ careers.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Insights Manager to join our global team, reporting to the Senior Director of Artist Insights. In this role, you will be instrumental in gathering, analysing, and presenting data that uncovers actionable insights for our artists and stakeholders. You will work on research-driven projects, contribute to our innovative consumer and artist insights practice, and help shape the strategic direction of our artists’ careers through data-driven recommendations.

Your Mission:

Strategic Influence: Work closely with the Transformation team to elevate our artist insights practice to new heights.

Quant & Qual Research Mastery: Deliver in-house quantitative and qualitative research studies, forging strong partnerships with our labels and affiliates to unveil key contextual insights driving artists' brand development and future campaign strategies.

Center of Excellence: Contribute to the creation of a center of excellence in Artists Insights, identifying trends and unmet needs globally to stay ahead of the curve.

Tech Innovation: Collaborate with our tech team to enhance existing tools and models, and pioneer the development of new ones, ensuring we stay at the forefront of analytical execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Translation: Collect and translate data into actionable insights to help find and communicate artist opportunities and drive decision-making processes.

  • Data Pull: Help perform data extraction from various databases and resources to answer artist insights questions.

  • Presentation: Present data in simple, understandable ways, building clear narratives to ensure the objectives of the presentations are achieved. Understand how to tailor presentations to different audiences.

  • Strategy – help prioritise projects to ensure the most strategically important analyses are undertaken.

  • Insights Application: Leverage data insights by applying and presenting learnings in a way that can be understood and applied at all organisational levels.

  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Fulfil ongoing and ad hoc reporting requirements and opportunities.

  • Expertise in Tools: Act as a resident expert on the latest artist tools and learnings within the music world of streaming, marketing, research & analysis, and other music-related tech tools.

  • Global Collaboration: Be an active member of the Global Analyst community, sharing learnings and data support with other Warner analysts, globally.

About You:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in an insight (qual/quant)/data/analytics role.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a quantitative / social science related discipline.

  • Tool Proficiency: Experienced in industry-standard research tools. Tableau experience is preferable.

  • Analytical Expertise: Proficiency in SQL (Snowflake), Excel, and Google Sheets. Python skills are preferable.

  • Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

  • Presentation Skills: Proficiency in building & delivering visually exciting presentations Problem-Solving Aptitude: Ability to ask the right questions and identify the most effective research methods to address business challenges.

  • Adaptability: Capable of working under pressure, effectively prioritising conflicting requirements, and maintaining an evidence-based approach.
