Head of Global Revenue Category Growth
Context/Scope: This role is part of the Global RGM Commercial Team at Diageo, focused on driving sustainable, balanced growth through multiple levers such as Pricing, Promotions, Assortment, and Trade Investment Management. The Global RGM Team is also responsible for sourcing, developing, and deploying industry-leading RGM tools and technologies, as well as building RGM capabilities for both in-market and global teams.
Purpose of Role: The RCG Head will lead Diageo’s global growth efforts by embedding revenue growth management across all markets and categories. This role provides strategic direction in RGM, drives sustainable growth, builds team capabilities, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement. Acting as a trusted advisor, the RCG Head will support markets in executing strategies, managing performance, and creating value with customers.
Dimensions:
Lead the transformation by embedding RGM practices across all categories, working closely with both market and global cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth initiatives.
Navigate high levels of complexity by working across diverse markets and multiple functions to educate and embed revenue growth management discipline in each respective business unit.
Act as a trusted advisor and center of excellence, ensuring best practices in RGM are understood and implemented effectively across Europe, Africa, and Diageo’s global operations.
Top Accountabilities:
The RCG Head role will be expected to:
Guide Europe and Africa regional and market teams in developing and implementing effective RGM strategies to achieve sustainable, balanced growth. Leverage deep market and category insights to inform strategic decisions.
Collaborate with market teams to deliver results, including achieving volume, price, and mix targets. Monitor and analyze market performance to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure strategic goals are met.
Help facilitate conversations with customers to drive joint value creation by grounding strategies in delivering value for Diageo, its customers, and their customers, based on shopper insights.
Strengthen the RGM capabilities of regional and local teams through targeted training, coaching, and the development of robust tools and processes. Build a culture of continuous learning and improvement in RGM practices across all markets.
Lead global change initiatives related to RGM. Support markets in adapting to new tools, processes, and ways of working to enhance their revenue growth capabilities.
Implement effective planning and performance management routines with European markets to drive the Growth agenda. Ensure alignment with Diageo’s overall business objectives and performance standards.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Graduate, preferably with at least 10-12 years of experience in RGM, planning, and sales
Proven track record of defining and delivering commercially oriented strategies and plans
Experience with Diageo European Customers is a must
Strong Customer Collaboration, commercial experience and financial acumen
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Executive presence and ability to influence critical commercial decisions with senior stakeholders
Able to manage multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously
Highly independent in thinking and identifying problems & solutions
Ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team to align and coordinate internal and external resources
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
