WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a highly skilled and collaborative Director of People Solutions to support our 2000+ Nike teammates in UK, Ireland and South Africa, based in our London office.

This role is instrumental in shaping the overall Nike teammate experience in the region. It leads a team of HR professionals, known as People Solutions Consultants, in delivering exceptional HR services across both Nike retail stores and corporate teams, setting the priorities for the region and partnering with key stakeholders across business teams, HR and our EMEA Headquarters.

The candidate needs to be solution-oriented, with the ability to simplify the complex and set clear priorities. They will be able to establish great stakeholder relationships, and leverage their deep HR expertise to elevate the teammate experience at scale while driving change in how we work in order to continuously improve.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

On a day to day basis, you and the regional People Solutions Consulting team will be responsible for the delivery of integrated HR solutions across the Nike business, including guiding teammates & managers through complex issues, designing & implementing scalable HR solutions, delivering training, managing HR program delivery, providing country-specific legal/regulatory expertise and compensation & benefits support. You will also leverage your knowledge and regional insights to proactively identify opportunities to drive operational efficiencies and best practices.

As the leader of a team, you will coach, develop and inspire your team. You will enable the team to do great work by monitoring the team workflow and volume and adjusting plans according to key priorities. You will support with escalated matters and set clear objectives and KPI’s for the Consulting Team.

You will quickly develop a deep understanding of our business, and the needs of our teammates and managers in the region, and will partner back with our broader People Solutions organization and Centers of Expertise to deliver exceptional solutions.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Nike is a highly collaborative environment. In addition to driving a team, you will be part of an ecosystem of HR professionals and business stakeholders. You will partner with our EMEA HQ People Solutions organization and Centers of Expertise in order to drive alignment and to leverage expertise across all HR processes. You will also partner with your People Solutions Consulting colleagues in other regions in order to collaborate, share learnings and best practices. You will also manage key business stakeholder relationships across retail and Corporate in the region, to ensure the needs of our teammates and our business priorities are represented.

WHAT YOU BRING

· Proven experience of teammate-facing HR experience, including partnership with senior leaders and support of a large-scale organization.

· Strong knowledge of the full spectrum of HR programs and policies.

· Experience in leading with influence, and establishing effective relationships across functions. Known for being a strong collaborator.

· Proven people leadership experience – with a demonstrated ability to develop, engage and retain an impactful team.

· Strong problem solver with a solution-oriented approach.

· Strong judgment, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and and balance trade offs

· Understanding of a broad range of HR processes and teammate lifecycle moments, and the ability to leverage technology and systems to unlock efficiency and opportunities.

· Experience of working in a dynamic retail environment, with well-developed industry knowledge.

· Understanding of regional nuances and ideally experience of working across multiple countries.
