Splunks product portfolio has evolved over time and now contains a wide range of products that are now grouped into buying centre cohorts of Security, DevOPs, ITops. In response to this, Splunk Professional Services is looking for experienced consulting leaders to form and own the delivery of specialist Architect and consulting skills grouped and aligned to the three buying centres.


As a Senior Consulting Manager Security EMEA in Global Services, you will be accountable for all aspects of leadership and business execution of a team of senior Splunk Architects and Consultants. You will help craft delivery methodologies while fostering quality and ultimately customer success on every engagement. You will support the shift to expert services, assist in the transformation of Splunk to a cloud first organisation, and drive to an improved customer experience. This leadership role will be critical to our Splunk vision and strategy.

Reporting directly to the Group Vice President of Professional Services in EMEA, you will also be expected to be an active member EMEA PS Leadership team and contribute to the overall continuous evolution of all aspects of the EMEA PS organisation as it responds to Splunks corporate strategies


  • Responsible for the Leadership of the EMEA Security consulting business, which includes creation of, planning and execution of critical initiatives, delivering or exceeding on the teams business plan, talent acquisition and management, Capacity and engagement planning, engagement quality and continuous improvement, customer and internal stakeholder engagement.

  • Establish close working relationship with the EMEA Sales SecOPs Buying Centre teams to understand ongoing demand for SecOps delivery skills and ensure capacity is available and ready to deliver against the SecOps Pipeline

  • Accountable for meeting billable and customer effective time of the team members

  • Lead by example and mentor the team members to evolve the maturity and capability of the team to be a world-class SecOps Advisory capability.

  • Foster a culture of “always selling” and enable Architects and consultants to identify Software and PS upside opportunities while engaging on projects

  • Work with PS delivery leaders and resource management on capacity planning, to support all projects requiring Security consulting skills

  • Support the pre-sales scoping of security-based consulting requirements for our most complex engagements

  • Participates in recruiting and employee development activities to ensure a balanced team with the right set of skills based on demand, new offerings and market changes

  • Collaborate with individuals across the CS organization, such as Technical Enablement, Education, Customer Success Management, and Support.

  • Assist the BC Practice in the collection of best practices from the field, the aggregation and collection of knowledge artefacts (documents, white papers, blog posts, Splunk answers, etc.

  • Good corporate citizen – two-way flow of relevant and timely information; work as a team for the most efficient use and deployment of resources.

  • Embrace continuous learning, maintain up-to-date knowledge of Splunk products, functional knowledge, and industry best practices

  • Measure and report on the efficiency of services and training enablement investments and programs

  • Be an active member of the EMEA PS Leadership team by foster a culture of disruptive, innovative thinking that drives a continuous improvement of the EMEA PS business and its team members

Requirements: I’ve already done that or have that!

  • 8+ years of related SecOps Professional Services leadership experience or a related function with direct customer advocacy and engagement experience in post-sales and customer success functions

  • 3 + years of technical leadership experience with cloud SaaS products and premium apps

  • Outstanding verbal, written, social, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Willing to work as part of a diverse, matrixed team, providing and taking mentorship to/from partners to achieve organisational outcomes

  • Organized with a healthy sense of urgency, able to set, communicate, and meet aggressive deadlines with competing priorities

  • Ability to quickly explore, examine and understand complex problems and how it relates to the customer’s business

  • Ability to stop, collaborate and listen with technical and non-technical consumers from application developers to executive level partners

  • Self-motivated and self-educating, always interested in keeping up with technology and improving oneself

  • Substantial experience working for a software vendor delivering services to end user customers is required

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing environment while working remotely from other members of your team

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or MIS, or relevant field experience

  • Willing to travel up to 30% regionally (Covid Allowing)
