Google Compensation Specialist in London, United Kingdom
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, statistics, human resources, finance, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience in analytical HR role, investment banking, management consulting (e.g., strategy, compensation) or similar analytical role.
Experience using investigative methods, tools, and concepts to identify, design, recommend and implement solutions, including Google Sheets and other data analysis tools.
Experience with client service and stakeholder management, building relationships and influencing at all levels and cross-functionally.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with communicating across audiences, situations, and contexts in both a written and verbal format.
Ability to use survey methodology to conduct research for various purposes.
Ability to present information regularly, including the ability to influence at the executive leadership level.
Ability to consult with business leaders to develop innovative solutions that address individual department needs while maintaining the integrity of Google’s compensation philosophy and upholding our governance duty.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage across multiple priorities.
In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of Google’s compensation philosophy to attract and retain talent across international markets. You are as comfortable partnering with Staffing and HR Leaders as you are working with business leaders directly in order to deliver our compensation programs. You will need to be able to manage several projects at once, challenging the status quo and helping key decision makers make sound choices by analyzing data and working on critical issues.
Work with the Compensation Team, Managers, HR Business Partners, and Recruiting teams to solve complex compensation-related business problems.
Act as a Compensation Partner to Europe, Middle East, and Africa region client groups at Google. Own and manage Vice President and Director level relationships in compensation planning, organization changes, and demystifying compensation with their teams.
Work with large data sets in complex ways. Draw insights from the numbers and convey findings to stakeholders at all levels.
Play a role in the creation and review of compensation policies and processes to ensure legal compliance and fairness. Be a key stakeholder in regionally specific compliance workstreams.
Participate in the research, development and implementation of compensation programs, monitor program success and work on projects such as market data benchmarking, compensation training for managers, Googlers, and compensation business reviews.
