We're looking to add a business manager to the Strategy and Planning team in Marketing. If you're passionate about travel, making connections, working with others, and providing a world class experience for our customers, you might be perfect for our team. As a Business Manager, you'll be a key part of transforming and driving efficiency across the Marketing team. This newly created role will be instrumental in supporting and maintaining smooth operations, administration, and finance functions, including maintaining organizational systems, managing internal financial controls and budgeting, coordinating with partners across the business, and providing project and administrative support to drive efficiency. The position’s primary goal is to support the Director of Strategy & Planning and ensure the day-to-day business and financial operations of the team run effectively and efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain and manage all Purchase Orders and budget-related items for Marketing

  • Support the monthly financial close process in partnership with FP&A.

  • Ensure monthly budget close accurately reflects team spend, following up with budget owners and FP&A and necessary.

  • Provide Marketing Leadership with monthly budget updates.

  • Support the development of annual team budget with Marketing Leadership.

  • Keep financial files organized, up-to-date, and accessible for Marketing Leadership.

  • Support in the development and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance presentations and agendas (i.e. Marketing Town Halls, Marketing Business Reviews, pacing against performance goals, pacing against strategic objectives.); Provide summaries to the Marketing Leadership Team, including insightful explanations and trends

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2-3 years of project and budget management experience, focus on Marketing is a plus.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational and collaboration skills.

  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.

  • Able to operate effectively through periods of significant change.

  • Effective senior stakeholder management and able to operate across matrix organizations.

  • Open-minded, excitement to try new tactics, and perseverance to see projects to completion.

  • Proven experience of delivering results in highly commercial environment.

  • International experience and working with remote teams and time zones is a plus.


United States - Illinois - Chicago

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $46,000 to $93,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
