Job Description

We're 23,000 colleagues in more than 30 countries delivering oil, gas, wind and solar power to 170 million people worldwide. Taking on tough energy challenges is our job. Right now, we're facing an enormous task: supplying the world with the energy it needs, while lowering emissions.

We're up for the challenge. Are you?

The position

If you know the importance of resilience and understand the complexity it may entail for a company with global activity and more than 23,000 employees, then this is an opportunity for you. Join our team of professionals in the Crisis and Business Continuity Management department.

We analyze, plan, prepare, train and exercise Equinor’s local and global emergency response and business continuity organizations to reduce the impact of safety and security incidents. Building resilience within crisis management and business continuity is a corporate priority.

In this role you will mainly be focusing on business continuity aspects. We do, however, also aim at building internal resilience within our delivery teams. This will give you an opportunity, also an expectation, to build competency across and have greater career flexibility going forward.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver Business Continuity (BC) advisory services, including business impact analysis, continuity plans and procedures.

  • Deliver relevant training, exercises and courses, including building relevant scenarios to stress-test plans.

  • Collaborate with IT staff to develop and implement Disaster Recovery best practices, and ensuring all personnel with specific BC responsibilities are adequately trained to fulfill those responsibilities.

  • Participate in BC self-assessments, audits and reviews, and implement agreed actions.

  • Be a member of the on-duty response system, acting as a BC Officer after a disruption event, coordinating with the emergency and crisis management teams if required.

  • Perform other relevant tasks in Crisis and Continuity Management as requested.

You

Some qualities are essential for Equinor. You identify with our values, open, collaborative, courageous and caring, which guide our decisions and help us succeed and grow. You make safety your priority and contribute to our zero-harm culture. For this position, we are also looking for:

  • A formal education or qualification in Business Continuity Management preferred. Alternatively you may hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, finance or a science.

  • Previous experience in the full Business Continuity life cycle including business impact analysis and risk assessment.

  • Knowledge of BC standards and best practices, and risk management.

  • Additional experience in information technology, finance and/or supply chain management would be an advantage.

  • An understanding of end to end value chains.

  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English both written and spoken.

  • Effective strategic problem solving and analytical skills.

  • A willingness to undertake advanced security checks.

General information

Please attach copies of your diplomas, certificates and grades in English or a Scandinavian language. Applications submitted without necessary attachments will unfortunately not be evaluated. If you are in the process of completing a degree, please upload an official temporary transcript or other document describing subjects and grades completed to this point.

Candidates are expected to openly offer all relevant information about themselves during the recruitment process. All permanent and temporary hires will be screened against relevant sanctions lists to ensure compliance with sanctions law. Furthermore, background checks are performed on all final candidates.

As a UK employer, Equinor has a legal obligation to ensure that candidates have the right to work in the UK. If the right to work in the UK has not been established, the employment or assignment will not commence until the necessary checks have been satisfactorily completed and acceptable evidence provided. Equinor reserves the right to withdraw the offer of employment or assignment in the event that the relevant requirements are not met.
