Role Summary

Marex Solutions is a division of Marex providing investment banking solutions with a fintech mindset. We are looking for a senior business analyst to work very closely with our trading team, to analyse and document requirements covering pricing, trading and risk management, and to effectively feed those requirements into the technology delivery process.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to obtain information on existing processes and workflows and document these

  • Proactively identify enhancements to existing processes and document any business requirements, dependencies and priorities from stakeholders.

  • Suggesting improvements and outlining the benefits of improvements in production processes and providing process flow documentation.

  • Assist with the evaluation of third-party vendor systems and services.

  • Support the development team in story creation, refinement and story pointing.

  • Assist the development lead with managing project activities, processes and work packages to ensure the achievement of project deliverables.

  • Help to shape future state IT architecture in terms of functional requirements.

  • Support the roll out and testing of internally built or externally provided platforms for the Marex Solutions Business.

  • Ensure compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the FCA.

  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.

  • At all times complying with the FCA's Code of Conduct

  • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility

  • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required

  • To escalate risk events immediately

  • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Competencies

Skills and Experience

  • 3-4 years* prior experience in a business management role within financial services

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Working understanding of financial products, including derivatives.

  • Proven track record in business analysis for front-office facing projects.

  • Demonstrable experience with process flow and business processes.

  • Experience and understanding of agile project management practices.

  • Proficiency using Excel and with SQL for querying databases.

  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
