Role Dimensions

  • The Brand Manager will report to the Marketing Manager, Spirits Made Easy (including premix, ready to serve cocktails, draught cocktails) and form part of the wider Smirnoff and Captain Morgan category team.

  • The Spirits Made Easy team will be responsible for driving transformational growth within the category.

  • As a strategic priority for the business, the Brand Manager will gain exposure to senior leadership across Diageo and have the ability to influence cross functional departments.

  • The role will suit an entrepreneurial, highly driven candidate with the exciting opportunity to drive material impact across the business, with Diageo customer partners and with consumers.

  • The ready to drink category is a highly competitive, complex, fast paced and nuanced one, the Brand Manager will be able to thrive in this environment.

  • This role will provide development opportunities across all areas of the marketing mix and work closely with Gordons, Tanqueray, Pimms, Ciroc, Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff & Captain Morgan brand teams.

Top Accountabilities

  • Deliver the Spirits Made Easy P&L driving transformational sales value growth and share growth.

  • The Brand Manager will have full accountability for the newly launched ready to serve Cocktail Collection, managing all aspects of the marketing plan, including media, sampling, PR & social. Lead multiple partners, both internally and externally to drive exceptional performance. They will be the driving force to revolutionise the way consumers drink cocktails at home and on the go.

  • Work with the innovation & wider brand teams to ensure a world class innovation pipeline that will drive future category growth.

  • Lead the comprehensive performance tracking and understanding for Spirits Made Easy category.

  • Responsible for driving new RTD distribution opportunities across the trade.

  • Work as part of large cross functional team across commercial, innovation and customer activation to develop & implement flawlessly, resulting in winning performance & share growth plans.

Ideal experiences / Qualifications / capabilities

  • 4+ years of relevant marketing experience, experience in innovation and the RTD category valued, but not essential.

  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain genuine relationships based on mutual trust & respect

  • Successful management of senior collaborators at all levels, resulting in strong and positive outcomes

  • Holistic skills across all marketing pillars as well as a track record of leading transformational business results

  • A passion for creative excellence

  • Being able to excel when dealing with ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and matrixed environment

  • Experience working across media, digital, experiential, PR, culture, social and with external agencies

  • Demonstrated brilliant execution to impeccably high standards

  • Deep personal accountability for great performance

  • Strong end to end commercial FMCG understanding, alongside high levels of numerical skill and attention to detail
