Bloomberg BloombergNEF Pioneers Project Coordinator (8 Month Contract) in London, United Kingdom
Bloomberg is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our BloombergNEF (BNEF) team in September for 8 months. You will be the project lead for BNEF’s Pioneers program, an annual innovation competition that identifies and promotes climate-tech start-ups and innovators addressing the challenge of climate change and the transition to a low-carbon economy.
During the 8-months of the role, you will work closely with BNEF’s Technology & Innovation team, BNEF’s head of client relations and with all global research teams.
You’re someone with an enthusiasm for technology and an understanding of clean tech and climate tech, who enjoys building professional networks. You will need to be organized, good at managing your time and sticking to deadlines. You need to work well in a structured environment but have strong initiative and self-reliance. Teamwork is important to you, and you are excited by the prospect of working with colleagues and clients from a wide range of backgrounds. You will have experience in automating administrative workflows preferably using python.

TheRole:
Managing project timelines andschedules for the Pioneers competition. You will hold all internal and externalstakeholders to agreed deadlines.
Communicating and coordinatingwith the BNEF analysts and judging teams to run the selection process andmanage those meetings and workflows
Automating administrativeworkflows using python to reduce workloads
Developing a strong understandingof innovation challenges within the global low-carbon transition, and theinnovations that can help solve them
Scanning the market forearly-stage start-ups and other innovators in climate
Managing, and helping to write, abooklet profiling 2025’s finalists
Updating and editing the Pioneerswebsite and coordinating with Bloomberg’s marketing team
You'll need to have:
Evidence of project management skills
Evidence of coding skills with theability to automate workflows
Attention to detail and goodorganizational skills with the ability to track and complete many tasks
Knowledge of Microsoft Officesuite
We'd love to see:
The ability to quickly understand, distil andcommunicate complex topics
Confidence in conducting research calls andcommunicating with senior industry contacts, early-stage companies and BNEFcolleagues
Previous experience of working ina project management capacity
An education in engineering orscience
Previous experience in building industrynetworks and communicating with industry players
