Overview of AMD - Architecture, Middleware and Data Management

Development, support and maintenance of core data management solutions and enterprise services, used across multiple business lines. Key platforms include MUSBI, Raptor, LDS, FDS, Galileo, and EDM.

Provision of technology services and support for Finance and Financial Crime business areas, and point of contact for HR and Legal. Key systems Oracle Financials, Moody’s RAY, Siron AML, and CISNET KYC.

Delivery of core technology services across Bank EMEA and Securities International, including governance and oversight of Enterprise Architecture, middleware and integration platforms, application design and development, and development of the Technology Strategy

Main purpose of role

To lead a high-performing technical BAU team of support analysts in managing the IT operation for multiple Data Management Systems across EMEA, US and Asia regions. The role will form part of a 10-15 man BAU team managing and resolving incidents, problems and developing and implementing changes.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery

Ensure the team provides effective 24x7 support across Data Management applications.

Maintain and update system technical documents and service operation manuals.

Ensure the support provided is within the Service Level agreement set with business and technology groups.

Ensure IT goverance, standards and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Plan and perform software releases as apart of Release and Change process.

Manage and prioritise BAU change backlog with business and technology stakeholders

Develop and deliver high-quality application software changes to meet business requirements.

Investigate production incidents/problems and identify and implement solutions

Ensure the team meets their assigned support targets whilst maintaining high levels of quality control within the team.

Impact assessment of production changes

Follow standard tooling such as ServiceNow to manage Incidents, Problem and Change.

Build and maintain expert knowledge of AMD Database Engineering and Business Intelligence applications so as to effectively provide BAU support.

Ensure effective communication is maintained through the timely sharing of information with technology and business stakeholders.

Liaise with external vendors for the maintenance and support of third party applications and tools.

Management

Line management of the team including hiring, absence, objective setting and performance management (10 individuals)

Mentor, support and develop team members

Accountable for all aspects of the team’s performance

Delegate for manager (Head of Database Engineering and Business Intelligence ) as required

Skills and experience

Knowledge of the IT infrastructure (for example, hardware, databases, operating systems, local area networks) and the IT applications and service processes used within a Financial Services organisation.

Detailed practical knowledge of software development and maintenance methods, tools and techniques.

Demonstrates an understanding of strategic issues, and is an authority on the systems development life-cycle and typical problems associated with the implementation of information systems, from initial concept through development and implementation to operation and support.

Required to have a good understanding of software development methodologies.

Experience of running a support team across multiple systems and technologies in a regulated environment

Proficient in Data analysis and SQL

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
